The nieces are coming, the nieces are coming!

I'm so excited. E and the twins are coming for the second time this year. I started cleaning up the house in prep for their arrival. This time, it's just clutter control. I shampooed the carpet 6 months ago and they still look clean. Not wearing my shoes inside the house keeps the dirt at bay. Dog hair is everywhere a bit of vacuuming will do the trick.

The weather has change for the cooler. I don't miss the three digit temperature days. The pool was green and after a couple of days of shocking with chlorine, it looks good again.

The neighbor cut off the leaves from my tree that intrudes to his yard. The gardener dumped some of the leaves to my side. How nice. I hope he gets struck by lightning. Bastard.

I'm only off for four days the week they are here. An unscheduled sick time is required. LOL.

Just finished building a bookshelf I bought more than a year ago. It's good the instructions and parts are still around. It took me a few hours to finish as I need to buy some t-brace and 90 degree braces to reinforce the bookshelves. This one can take the load for sure.

I have so much stuff. Shopping has been an outlet for coping to the stressors of life. I've been holding back on purchases until I get rid of some useless things. I have to get rid of old clothes, books, furnitures, and the list goes on. I bought my place furnished so I've always have more than I need.

I've been watching 6 month old videos of the twins and their older sister E. I miss them a lot. I think they can come visit me twice a year and I can visit them twice a year. This way I can see them every 3 months. Not bad. I'm not ready to move to the Bay area. I'm content where I am now. Large enough home. Friends. Nice job. I get to keep my cars. Sometimes it pays to step back a few feet and analyze what I have and need. Right now, I'm good.
