High school reunion. Let us blend...
I was lucky enough to find another nurse to cover me at the end of my shift last Saturday. Ask and you shall recieve. Alleluia. I made it to my high school reunion in time to witness some realy nice singing, dancing, awards and appreciation ceremonies. I was the only one on hawaiian shirt, denim shorts and running shoes. I forgot to ask about dress codes. I knew my brother was wearing semi formal as I saw his tennis shoes at home. I can't find my dress shoes so I opted for the hawaiian look. No one was rude enough to mess with my attire choice so it never really bothered me.
I went shopping for souvineers. A couple of LSQC mugs, a license plate, a pin, a couple of shirts, a CD and a sticker. It nice to have stuff about high school. I remember I used to buy stickers at the school store.
I enjoyed the night so much that I hang out with them up to 1 in the morning. Others have to leave as they have a long trip ahead of them the following morning. Others have a long trip ahead of them that night.
The most memorable moment was when everyone stood up and sang our school hymn. It's been 23 years since I hear that song sang by a group. I can just see Mr. Novera looking down on us playing his accordion.
