DMV Blues
Weird day today as nothing seem to work. Went to have the Benz smog checked and I was told I need to go to a test only station. They can't do it in a test and repair station. I was pissed as I was never asked to do this and I know two garage shops that are test and repair. Both declined my test and directed me to someone I do not know. I went to the suggested place and I have to pay $20 more.
I didn't know anything about a test only requirement but a sign on the shop wall indicates that 15% of automobiles in the highest smog areas in Ca will be assigned to a test only shop for the initial inspection and pay more. Amazing, price of living in Ca. The interesting part is that my car is not having an initial inspection.
