Damn this garage door. The remote opens up the door but not down. Arrgh. Some days it works the some days it doesn't. I've had it. I installed it 7 years ago. It was brand new.
Wait a minute, the internet should have the answer. Sure enough, Genie has a website. Trouble shooter indicates that the safety trip light should blink if there is a problem. I checked it and the red light was off. I moved the sensor one way and the red light turned on. Pressing the remote opens and closes the door. Easy enough, saved me $70, atleast. heehaa
